Xeric and Low Maintenance

Xeric and Low Maintenance

The objective was to create a modern design with a drought tolerant, low maintenance planting plan on a tight budget. The family was interested in doing most of the install themselves, so the design had to be economical and achievable. In the front yard the goal was to improve access along the driveway to the front entrance as well as the side entrance to the back. They also wanted to improve privacy and block the street light from shining into their bedroom. In the backyard they wanted clearer definition between the spaces, create a view from the basement office window, and plant Pacific Northwest natives beneath the canopy of the established trees.
